Job Description US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution – from strategic capital investments, industrial operations, and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.

What You’ll Do
  1. This role requires a cleared technician to perform critical operations across multiple programs, which may include:
  • Polymerics applications to antennas.
  • Performing lay-up operations using sheet adhesives, board material, honeycomb material, and housings.
  • Performing a post-bond clean after lay-up (removing tape, lay-up shims, and bonding fixtures).
  • Solder operations (J-STD-001 certified) or willingness to get certified.
  • Kanban (removal of parts from shipping packaging, cleaning, and re-packaging for next assembly).
  • Possibly performing test operations if familiar, including troubleshooting hardware, conducting tests, and analyzing data.
  • Applying Chromate touchup on antennas with superficial damage.
  • Performing torquing operations per Fastener Certification.
  • Pre-shipment paint touch and ink marking on antennas with superficial dings or scrapes.
  • Reading, understanding, and executing technical specifications and procedures.
  • Maintaining electronic build records, process logs, and reports in accordance with policies and regulations.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and the broader organization.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Work Environment & Conditions

    This position requires regular on-site work five days a week at the primary location, with possible travel between sites.

    • Work is performed in an office, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor environment.
    Minimum Requirements
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Related higher degree may substitute for experience.
    • Must obtain and maintain a DoD Interim Secret clearance.
    Preferred Skills & Certifications
    • Various certifications related to handling hazardous materials, ESD, soldering, etc.
    • Current active Secret security clearance is preferred.
    Salary & Benefits

    Salary range: $39,219 - $62,751. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, life insurance, paid time off, and other perks.
