Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in audiovisual installation or related technical field.
• Basic understanding of audiovisual system installation and integration practices.
• Knowledge of cable types, terminations, signal flow, and structured cabling standards.
• Familiarity with display mounting, projection systems, equipment racks, speakers, and related AV technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and construction documents.
• Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment.

Responsibilities

This is a local, field-based position supporting projects throughout Southern New Jersey and surrounding markets. Candidates should be based within reasonable commuting distance of Solutionz, Inc.'s Paulsboro office. Regular travel to customer job sites is required.

Description

The Technician I is responsible for supporting the installation, integration, configuration, and troubleshooting of commercial audiovisual systems for Solutionz customers. This role works closely with project managers, field engineers, lead technicians, and customers to ensure systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Solutionz quality standards. The Technician I assists with all phases of audiovisual deployment, including equipment installation, cable termination, rack fabrication, display mounting, and system testing. This position requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a project team while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
