Job summary

Monogram Foods in Wilmington, MA is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain production equipment on a high-speed industrial food line. You will perform PMs, repairs, and safety-focused tasks while working at pace in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and technical training or 2 years in manufacturing, with strong mechanical aptitude, English communication, and the ability to read manuals and prints. Weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Technical college education or 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing-related field preferred.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain GMP and food safety standards.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures safely.
• Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, PM work, overhaul and repair equipment.
• Use shop tools (cutting, grinding, drill press, welding, basic machining).
• Work on motors/controls if qualified and document work in CMMS.
• Read technical manuals and prints; work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions.
• Support safety and quality procedures and participate in shift duties as needed.

Position Overview

Maintains production equipment through routine repairs and PM execution. The equipment consists of automated high-speed industrial food manufacturing equipment, and the skills needed include good mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and working at pace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards.
• Ability to work safely with programs such as lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Equipment setup, adjustment, troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance (PM) work, overhaul, and repair.
• Use of shop tools, including cutting, grinding, drill press, welding, and minimal machining.
• Perform work (if qualified) on electric motors and controls.
• Work with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to perform work orders, document work, and order parts.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and prints.
• Ability to perform duties outside and inside in varying conditions, including extreme heat, cold and wet, and/or humid conditions, etc.

The Ideal Candidate will have the Following Qualifications: Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required.
• Technical college education or equivalent 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing-related field preferred.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Support management decisions, talk positively, and encourage a happy environment.
• Be knowledgeable of and follow the safety procedures as outlined by Monogram Foods.
• Be knowledgeable of your department's safe food handling practices, HACCP, and quality control procedures.
• You must be able to speak, read and write in English.

Competencies and Skills:

• Bi-Lingual a plus- English/Spanish
