Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) in Coralville, IA, is seeking a on-site Machine Assembly Technician to operate and set up automated and semi-automatic machines in a continuous production environment.

You will follow engineering drawings, SOPs, and manufacturing procedures to assemble mechanical and electrical components into sub-assemblies or complete units, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Install, modify, troubleshoot machinery and equipment according to documentation.
• Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, and related controls to ensure specs.

This role is located in Coralville, Iowa and will be an on-site role. The position reports to the Value Stream Leader-Machine Assembly and is part of the Machine Assembly team located in Coralville Iowa and will be an on-site role. This role is anticipated to work a weekday day shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00a-4:00p).

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
• Follows engineering drawings, work order information, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process.
• Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
• Install, modify, troubleshoot machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation
• Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

• Ability to travel when needed
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 75lb
• Any other physical requirements

Preferred experience

• Experience in Using ERP systems
• Following SOPS Machine Operating, Process Operations, Product Assembly, and Production Technician roles.
