Job summary

ZEISS Group is seeking an entry-level Lab Tech I to support lens manufacturing under close supervision. You will perform routine production duties across inventory, surfacing, and coating while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include qualifying products to CZV specs, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with team members in a fast-paced environment. A customer-service mindset and reliable work ethic are essential traits for success.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 0–2 years related experience preferred.
  • Customer service mindset and reliability are essential.
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands and fingers.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory: Stocking, auditing, and picking.
  • Surfacing: Taping, blocking, engraving, polishing.
  • Coating: Scribing, washline, sorting, protective steps.
  • Operate computer systems and maintain documentation.
  • Qualify and inspect products to CZV specifications.
  • Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
  • May cross-train to different stations and train peers.
  • Participate in meetings to improve departmental communication.
