Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Full Time UCHC Technician I for the Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center in Avenel, NJ. The UCHC Technician I participates as a member of the clinical and administrative medical team at the Prison.
The role supports clinical tasks and administrative duties, including vital signs, specimen collection, and medication coordination. Evening shift; full-time onsite position with union support.

Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Full Time UCHC Technician I for the Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center located in Avenel, NJ. The UCHC Technician I participates as a member of the clinical and administrative medical team at the Prison.
Maximum Education and Experience: At least two (2) years of progressively more responsible related healthcare experience involving multiple areas of knowledge, skill and abilities and demonstrating competencies to perform the essential duties of the position.
As a first responder must have the physical capacity to perform CPR for at least 10 minutes. Physically able to assist in lifting and rotating patients who are unable to ambulate (up to 50 pounds).
Must be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements.
Under Policy 100.3.1, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted a medical or religious exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination or an exemption may result in rescission of an offer or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
