Summary:

Responsible for installation, operation, and maintenance of instruments and automation equipment, coordination of the same with various contractors, and providing detailed reporting of activities to management. Performs basic maintenance, calibration, and testing of instrumentation and electrical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to all Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
2. Identify all risks associated with assigned work prior to execution.
3. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment, calibrate, test, inspect, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic devices such as PLCs and transmitters.
4. Schedule and perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and major repairs.
5. Maintain an effective Preventative Maintenance program for instrumentation and electrical equipment.
6. Troubleshoot using P&ID's and loop diagrams.
7. Perform minor PLC programming.
8. Conduct daily meetings and schedule activities with team members and contractors.
9. Install, operate, and maintain equipment as needed.
10. Coordinate projects with management, contractors, and utilities.
11. Train team members and operators on equipment operation.
12. Attend safety meetings, hold tailgate safety meetings, and write JSAs.
13. Assist in the design, engineering, and procurement of electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.
14. Record project activities and equipment serial numbers, reporting to management.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year of I&E experience and 3 years of oilfield experience.
• Knowledge of SCADA network architecture.
• Familiarity with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability standards to drive a company vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic programming knowledge.
• State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License.
• PLC programming experience.
