Job summary

Saber Power Services in Houston, Texas, seeks a dedicated Technician for our Rosharon location. You will assist and perform electrical testing on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear, with emphasis on safety and accuracy in a high‑voltage environment.

Requirements include an AAS in Electrical or Electronics Technology, 0–4 years of HV experience, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• AAS in Electrical or Electronics Technology or equivalent.
• 0-4 years’ experience in the high voltage industry.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform electrical testing on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear.
• Protective relaying and relaying systems work.
• Circuit breakers, transformers, and power metering tasks.
• Grounding systems and electrical safety duties.
• May travel up to 50% as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.

Saber Power Services seeks a professional, dedicated individual with a positive outlook for our Technician opening in Charlotte, NC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist and perform electrical testing services on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear included (but not limited to) the following:
• Protective relaying and relaying systems
• Circuit Breakers
• Power Transformers
• Current and Potential Transformers
• Meters, Transducers, and Power system metering
• Power Cables
• Grounding Systems
• Motors and Motor Starters
• Station Batteries and Chargers
• Alarm systems and Annunciators
• Personal Protective Equipment
• Always make safety a top priority, realizing that the company has Zero Tolerance for those who do otherwise
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• AAS in Electrical or Electronics Technology or equivalent experience in the high voltage industry
• 0-4 years’ experience in the high voltage industry
• Skills:
• Good mathematical skills required
• Ability to travel 50% required
• Power DB knowledge a plus
• Valid driver’s license
