Job summary

BSK Associates is seeking an enthusiastic Technician I to join our team and support field sampling, route coordination, and client interactions. This entry-level position offers growth in a trusted, employee-owned engineering firm with a focus on safety and service.

Qualifications

• Entry-level with no experience or formal training; HS Diploma.
• Two years college chemistry or related science; equivalent experience a plus.
• PC skills required; MS Office applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all sampling in accordance with procedures and regulatory-mandates.
• Stores and delivers samples with proper handling and timing.
• Coordinate route stops with the dispatcher to meet client expectations.
• Maintains and documents information on sampling events in the Field Log Book.
• Interact with clients in a professional manner.
• Use safe driving techniques and adhere to traffic laws.
• Manage time constraints to meet daily route assignments.
• Maintain vehicle with fleet coordination and restock supplies as required.
• Enter and process Electronic Chain of Custodies in the field.
• Assist sample receiving with login duties or bottle preparation when available.
• Attend BSK Sampling class and obtain certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager.

Job-Type:Full-Time Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

Full-Time employees receive our comprehensive compensation package which includes 100% employer paid Medical insurance with by-up options for your dependents. Employee and Dependent Dental and Vision plans, Employee Assistance Program, ESOP and 401k plans. 8 Paid Holidays, Paid Sick and Paid Vacation time earned on an accrued basis. The pay range for this position is $16.90-$20.00paid hourly, offers will be based on the successful candidate's experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Performs all sampling in accordance with BSK Laboratories Sampling procedures and regulatory-mandates.
• Stores and delivers samples in accordance with proper handling techniques and required time frames.
• In conjunction with the route dispatcher, is able to coordinate route stops to meet clients expectations.
• Maintains and documents information on or about sampling events in Field Log Book.
• Is able to interact with clients in a professional manner.
• Uses safe driving techniques and adheres to all traffic laws.
• Is able to manage time constraints to meet daily route assignments.
• Maintains vehicle properly, by coordination with fleet coordinator.
• Maintains stock bottles, COCs, labels and instructions in vehicle as required by dispatcher.
• Maintains all safety equipment in vehicle as required by dispatcher.
• Enters and processes Electronic Chain of Custodies in the field in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• When available, assists sample receiving with login duties or bottle preparation.
• Attends and receives certificate from BSK Sampling class.
• Other duties as assigned by Department Manager.

Education and Experience

• Entry -level with no experience or formal training, HS Diploma
• Two (2) years college chemistry or related science and/or equivalent experience a plus
• PC skills required, preferably MS Office applications
