Job summary

Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air, backed by TurnPoint Services, seeks an experienced HVAC Install Lead Technician to manage residential and light commercial installations from start to finish. You will lead teams, ensure safety, and deliver high-quality craftsmanship for San Diego-area homes and businesses.

The role requires strong leadership, expertise in airflow and duct design, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC installation experience, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Proficient in residential and light commercial HVAC installation and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of airflow, duct design, electrical systems, and controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• HVAC trade school certification or equivalent field experience.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and ventilation components.
• Direct and mentor installation apprentices and helpers to ensure proper procedures and quality workmanship.
• Review job plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and code compliance.
• Perform equipment start-up, testing, and system balancing.
• Inspect completed installations for proper operation and system performance.
• Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and supervisors regarding project progress and issues.
• Ensure all safety policies and local regulations are followed on-site.
• Maintain accurate installation records and assist with project documentation.
• Monitor job site inventory and ensure proper use and care of company tools and equipment.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Install Lead Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for leading residential and light commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent technical knowledge, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and craftsmanship.
