Job summary

Genesis of Littleton, part of McDonald Automotive in Littleton, CO, is seeking an experienced automotive technician. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing vehicles to exact specifications using advanced diagnostic tools, with an emphasis on customer service and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
5+ years of automotive technician experience.
Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate diagnostic equipment.
Working knowledge of shop equipment (wheel/tire, electrical, engine, alignment, diagnostic, AC).

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications using diagnostic devices.
Tear down, repair, replace, or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power and steering systems.
Rewire ignition systems, lights, instrument panels, and repair transmissions.
Adequately explain the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.

Compensation Overview

This role is based on flagged hours.

Experience & Qualifications Needed:

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
5+ years of automotive technician experience is required
Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes models, and sizes
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, electrical, engine, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices.
Tear down, repair, replace, and/or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings for all vehicles.
Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels and repairs manual and automatic transmissions.
Adequately explains the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
