Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking an hourly Manufacturing Technician in Fort Madison, IA. The role involves operating rotary and inline filling equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and documenting production metrics such as speeds, efficiencies, and quality.

You will perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to keep lines running smoothly. The position offers a step pay progression, weekly pay, and benefits eligibility.

This hourly role follows the Scotts step pay progression scale and typically starts at $27.35 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

In this role you will:

• Operate and monitor various types of rotary and inline filling equipment to adjust and control fill rates as needed.
• Adheres to all plant safety rules and programs, actively participating in audits and safety initiatives.
• Documents production results related to efficiencies, speeds, and quality.
• Performs cleaning, lubrication, reassembly, installation, and adjustment of fillers for maintenance and product changes.
• Conducts minor repairs and preventive maintenance, using mechanical troubleshooting to ensure product and quality specifications are met.
• Performs manufacturing inspection protocols to ensure quality standards on liquid packaging, and effectively communicates production information and gaps to peers and supervisors.
