Job summary

A global leader in adhesives is seeking a Field Service Technician who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of Sonderhoff equipment. The role requires a BS/BA in engineering or business, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. What You’ll Do
  • Installation of machines incl. commissioning and final acceptance at the customer's site domestic and abroad.
  • Onsite jobs as repair, maintenance, inspection; Inhouse jobs as pre-Acceptance, remote training with customers and continuing education in new technologies
  • Samplings to promote and qualify our Sonderhoff equipment and material technology
  • Provide support to customers with our Sonderhoff equipment and material technology
  • Focus and execute tasks according to global and regional service directives
What makes you a good fit
  • Education — BS/BA in engineering or business, with some chemistry background preferred but not required.
  • 2-3 years at a minimum of proven work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Validated experience working in a service/support function, preferably at a customer site location would be preferred.
  • Must be proficient in English, with further foreign language skills advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel both via car and plane upwards of 50% of your time is required.
  • The travel will mainly consist of visiting customer locations across the U.S. to provide hands on support and service when necessary. There will be opportunities for international travel as well, so a valid passport is required.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Strong communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Must have strong problem resolution and technical leadership skills.
  • Strong PC capability and feel comfortable with holding virtual calls to provide support to customers at remote locations.

The salary for this role is $65,000.00-$70,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
