Role summary: The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT, is responsible for managing exterior facility operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role involves coordinating maintenance activities, operating heavy machinery, and overseeing seasonal services such as snow and ice management. The technician supports cost control through procurement and warranty claims, leads third-party providers, and maintains vehicle readiness. By fostering a safe, clean, and efficient environment, this position contributes to sustaining facility standards and operational excellence while collaborating with management and stakeholders to implement improvements and uphold company policies.

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety and certification standards.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow and ice management to ensure safe facility conditions.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot facility issues to meet operational and safety requirements.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, inspections, and documentation to ensure readiness and compliance.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid state‑issued driver's license. No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years. No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle. No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle. No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle. Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre‑hire. As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language. 2 years' experience in the landscaping/gardening industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre‑hire contingency and be able to maintain a minimum of a 90 day Medical Examiner's Certification (MEC) card, Associate's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
• Experience in third‑party management.
• Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish.
• State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California, etc).
