Qualifications

This role involves managing seasonal maintenance activities, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The technician supports cost control through effective resource management and coordinates with internal and external partners to uphold quality standards. By troubleshooting issues and providing technical assistance, this position contributes to sustaining facility functionality and safety while promoting continuous improvement and adherence to company policies and ethical standards. About the team: The General Facilities Maintenance team ensures Walmart’s facilities operate efficiently and safely through preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and thorough inspections. They collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate resources and budgets, delivering timely, high-quality service. Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.


• Valid state-issued driver’s license.


• No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.


• No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.


• No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.


• No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.


• Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre- hire.


• As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.


• 2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and be able to maintain a minimum of a 90 day Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC) card, Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.


• Experience in third-party management.


• Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).


• Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish.


• State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California, etc).
