The position requires technical expertise in landscaping, equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance, along with effective communication to address facility needs and customer concerns. The Technician supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability while upholding company standards and policies.

What You'll Do

Operate and maintain exterior facility equipment, including mowing and weed control tools, ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA and EPA standards. Plan, prioritize, and execute scheduled projects, managing resources and workforce needs effectively. Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot issues to maintain facility standards. Manage purchases, verify receipts, and control costs for parts, materials, and equipment. Perform seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management, to ensure safe conditions. Lead third-party providers, providing coaching and performance evaluations. Maintain vehicles and equipment in safe, functional condition through regular inspections and servicing.

What You'll Bring

Proven experience operating and maintaining exterior service equipment, including mowing and weed control tools. Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. Ability to manage budgets, approve purchases, and coordinate material requisitions effectively. Skilled in troubleshooting, quality assurance inspections, and resolving facility-related issues. Competence in operating heavy machinery and performing vehicle maintenance with adherence to safety protocols. Demonstrated capability to plan, prioritize, and complete scheduled projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, vendors, and facility users.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.
• Valid state‑issued driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
• Experience in third‑party management.
• Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California).
