Job summary

Resorts World Las Vegas is hiring a Facility Technician to service and repair HVAC-R, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment across the resort. The role requires reading blueprints, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to guest requests to ensure seamless operations.

The technician will work under general supervision, handle building automation, lighting, and safety compliance, and perform duties in guest rooms and public areas with professionalism and courtesy.

Qualifications

  • At least four years of maintenance or facilities technician experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics; strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled technical duties involving repair, maintenance, adjustment, replacement, and installation of HVAC-R systems.
  • Repair, maintain, and install building automation systems.
  • Handle building pumps, electrical systems, plumbing, and lighting systems.
  • Execute regular maintenance tasks and respond to guest requests and in-house needs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Repair and troubleshoot guest rooms and public areas.
  • Conduct repairs using company policies and procedures.

Job description

Summary Statement

Facility Technician will perform under general supervision, servicing, adjusting, and repair of all types of heating and ventilating systems, control systems, air circulating systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and refrigeration systems. Maintenance Technician will perform all other related duties as assigned.

Primary Job Duties
  • Perform skilled technical duties involving the repair, maintenance, adjustment, replacement, and installation of all types of HVAC-R systems.
  • Perform skilled technical duties related to the repair, maintenance, adjustment, replacement, and installation of the building automation system.
  • Handle skilled technical duties involving the repair, maintenance, adjustment, replacement, and installation of building pumps and electrical systems.
  • Perform tasks regularly assigned to a maintenance technician, with additional duties as needed, in accordance with departmental and property rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct skilled technical duties involving the repair, maintenance, replacement, and installation of all types of lighting systems.
  • Repair and troubleshoot plumbing and electrical systems, including toilets, urinals, sinks, lights, outlets, and switches.
  • Perform skilled technical duties involving the repair, maintenance, adjustment, calibration, replacement, and installation of all types of kitchen equipment.
  • Conduct repairs in all guest rooms and public areas.
  • Respond to guest requests and in-house maintenance needs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Use personal devices/cellular phones for job-related operational tasks, job duties, and review of company documents.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional service and recovery skills when working with internal and external guests.
  • Mastery in interpreting maintenance instructions, sketches, plans, blueprints, procedure manuals, and safety rules.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, busy, and sometimes stressful environment; maintain physical stamina, a positive mental attitude, and the ability to operate effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
Preferred
  • Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.
  • OSHA 10/30, CPO, or EPA Certifications.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four years of prior experience as a Facilities or Maintenance Technician in a similar or related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain the following: Nevada Driver’s License
