Job summary

Exact Dispensing, part of TASI Measurement, is seeking a fabrication/assembly technician to join our Newcastle team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding, fabrication, machine assembly, and other similar tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or Trade school preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in mechanical assembly or fabrication.
• Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding (steel and aluminum).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, drills).
• Experience with calibration or testing of mechanical systems preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow digital work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical systems according to drawings and docs (50%).
• Perform TIG and MIG welding on steel and aluminum components (25%).
• Fabricate parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools (25%).
• Conduct pipe fitting and valve installation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of returned products.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
