Entry-level Technician (York, PA)

Intertek is actively seeking an entry‑level Technician to join our Building & Construction team in York, PA. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the Building and Construction field.

What you’ll do:

• Assist with or perform a variety of tests on construction materials using testing equipment.
• Read construction documents to determine project details and specifications.
• Neatly and accurately complete all required paperwork, including test reports and timesheets – in a timely manner.
• Record and report test results after performing mathematical calculations.
• Communicate orally and in writing with different parties involved with the project.
• Perform maintenance/cleaning of equipment as needed.
• Adhere to construction site safety guidelines and promote a safe working environment.
• Comfortable using MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Inspect construction operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical competency to understand and communicate test procedures, specifications, and results.
• General construction/carpentry knowledge and experience using power tools.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills – both written and oral.
• Good computer skills using Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend, crawl, push and pull, stretch, sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required).
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment check.
