Job summary

Ohio CAT invites you to join its Technician Development Academy Intern Trainee program in Heavy Equipment. You’ll train hands-on, servicing Caterpillar machines across facilities in Cleveland or Columbus, with weekly home shop alternation and about 640 hours of practical experience.

The eight-month program blends classroom, lab, and shop work, building a foundation for a lifelong career with a global leader. High school diploma and hands-on interest required.

As a Technician Development Academy Intern Trainee in Heavy Equipment, you’ll train hands-on with the best in the business—servicing the powerful equipment that keeps America moving.

Program Highlights:

Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling
  • Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines
  • Dexterity Normal
  • Repetitive Motions: Frequent movements requiring the use of hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
