A leading environmental services company in Venice, FL is seeking an experienced Senior Technician to perform truck maintenance and repairs. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of fleet maintenance experience and the ability to work with technical manuals. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fleet maintenance.
• Must be able to read and comprehend technical reference materials.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft and diagnostic applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks.
• Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose vehicle problems.
• Maintains accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
• Responsible for repairing, modifying, and performing preventative maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles.
• Responsible for all maintenance to the operation of equipment by completing all required preventive maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions.
• Inspects fleet vehicles to ensure that all vehicles are DOT compliant including brake maintenance.
• Completes all required daily reporting as required.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Adheres to strict safe work practices to comply with all Company, DOT and OSHA regulations.
