Job summary

FCC Environmental Services is seeking a dedicated CDL driver to perform pre/post-operation checks on commercial vehicles and ensure safe, on-time service across designated routes. You will engage with dispatchers and customers to complete services efficiently and maintain vehicle readiness.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and a CDL Class A or B license, with preferred garbage/recycling experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CDL Class A or B license is required.
• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary.
• Must meet all qualifications under DOT regulations.
• Must be registered with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Completes pre/post-operation checks on commercial vehicles to verify tire pressure, fluids, safety devices, gauges, and operating condition.
• Ensures safe operation on assigned routes including roads, neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Operates controls and joystick equipment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Interacts courteously with coworkers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure timely service.
• Monitors vehicle status to minimize downtime and maintain readiness.
• Completes paperwork and reports accurately.
• Maintains productivity standards to service clients promptly and effectively.
