Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize contract files, records, correspondence, and documentation in accordance with client procedures and project requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, distribution, and tracking of contracts, amendments, modifications, purchase orders, and other contractual documents.
  • Monitor contract milestones, deliverables, expirations, and renewal dates to ensure timely action.
  • Support contract compliance activities by verifying documentation, certifications, insurance requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare routine contract status reports, logs, and metrics for management review.
  • Coordinate with project controls, procurement, finance, legal, and project management teams to support contract administration activities.
  • Assist in drafting correspondence related to contract interpretations, notices, and contractual issues.
  • Enter and maintain contract information within company contract management systems and databases.
  • Support audit requests by gathering documentation and ensuring records are complete and accurate.
  • Track subcontractor and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and escalate contract discrepancies, risks, or documentation issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and contractual information.

Position Summary


The Contracts Technician provides administrative and technical support to the Contracts and Project Management teams throughout the contract lifecycle. This role is responsible for maintaining contract documentation, assisting with contract administration activities, tracking contractual obligations, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and client requirements. The Contracts Technician serves as a key liaison between project teams, procurement, legal, finance, and external stakeholders to support successful project execution.


Key Responsibilities

Basic Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in contract administration, procurement, project administration, legal support, or a related business environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience working with document management systems and databases.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and recordkeeping skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience supporting engineering, construction, industrial, government, or EPC projects.

  • Familiarity with contract terminology, subcontract administration, and procurement processes.

  • Knowledge of project documentation and records management practices.

  • Experience working with SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise systems.

  • Understanding of contract compliance and audit requirements.

  • Ability to review and interpret contractual documents with attention to detail.
