Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Construction Equipment Technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance across a full line of equipment. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and service machinery, building strong customer, vendor, and factory relationships.

The role requires following OEM specifications, reading schematics, and achieving high efficiency while maintaining quality. A Class A CDL is preferred and overtime/on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience as a preventative maintenance technician with construction equipment.
• 2-4 years' experience as construction equipment technician.
• Ability to follow OEM specifications.
• Advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting capabilities for major/minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on full line of construction equipment.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting for minor and major repairs.
• Build and maintain customer, vendor and factory relationships.
• Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, technical blueprints, service and parts diagrams.
• Create detailed parts and labor repair scopes for quoting.
• Must be a self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and communicate with the Service and Parts Teams.
• Must be willing to work overtime if needed and be on a rotating on-call list.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections on service trucks per DOT regulations.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a Class A CDL.
• Other duties as assigned.
