Job summary

StandardAero in Kansas City is seeking a skilled CMM Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate CMM equipment, read blueprints and specifications, and ensure tooling and parts meet exact tolerances.

This 1st shift role emphasizes measurement accuracy, data output, and documentation creation, with opportunities for calibration and routine maintenance. We offer comprehensive benefits, a 401(k) with company match, PTO from day one, and growth through training and hands-on

Qualifications

• US citizen or permanent resident
• 2 years CNC/CMM programming experience
• 2 years calibration/maintenance on machines

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CMM and equipment to measure components, tooling, and fixtures
• Read and interpret specifications, blueprints and templates for tolerances and dimensions
• Create setup sheets and documents
• Read and interpret measurements, output data and graphic data
• Analyze final product, ensuring output meets blueprint/spec requirements
• Identify when final output is inaccurate or out of spec
• Maintain CMM machines, including probe qualification and cleaning

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate CMM and equipment to make complex and precise measurements of components, tooling, and fixtures
• Read and interpret specification manuals, blueprints and templates for product specification such as tooling instructions, tolerances and dimensions
• Create setup sheets and documents
• Read and interpret measurements, output data and element graphic data
• Analyze final product, checking validity of output to specifications required in blueprints and technical manuals
• Recognize and identify final output accuracy and identify when the final product is inaccurate
• Maintain CMM machines to include probe qualification and regular cleaning

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen/Permanent resident
• Minimum 2 years' of CNC or CMM programming experience
• Minimum 2 years' experience with routine calibration and maintenance on machines
