Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular rounds on clinical units to distribute, retrieve, clean, disinfect, stock, and inspect fleet medical equipment.
  • Ensure proper par levels are maintained and escalate shortages as needed.
  • Follow infection prevention, cleaning, disinfection, and safety protocols per OEM and NGHS standards.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate equipment issues, including damaged, malfunctioning, or missing equipment.
  • Utilize equipment tracking systems and CMMS to document equipment movement, inventory status, maintenance needs, service requests, and inventory activities.
  • Monitor equipment utilization and recommend redistribution to optimize availability.
  • Respond promptly to equipment requests from clinical staff.
  • Assist end users with basic operational questions and proper equipment handling practices.
  • Support inventory audits, equipment counts, and asset verification.

This role performs routine rounding, equipment cleaning and disinfection, inventory checks, basic troubleshooting, documentation, and customer support for clinical staff. The position partners with nursing, clinical leaders, and Biomedical Services to help maintain equipment readiness, support par levels, and escalate equipment concerns appropriately.Minimum Job QualificationsLicensure or other certifications:Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum Experience:Other:Preferred Job QualificationsPreferred Licensure or other certifications:Preferred Educational Requirements: Associate degree or technical training in biomedical equipment technology, electronics, healthcare technology, or a related field preferred.Preferred Experience: One (1) year of experience in a healthcare, medical equipment, logistics, equipment distribution, environmental services, or customer service support role preferred.
