Job summary

AtPrince Telecom, LLC is hiring a Cable Installation Technician to safely install and troubleshoot video services, internet, telephone, and alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses.

The role offers weekly paychecks and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, holidays, and various insurance options. Applicants must be 18+, eligible to work in the United States, and have a high school diploma or GED, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience in cable installation or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, and troubleshoot video service, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment in customer locations.
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Review requested services with customers for understanding and agreement.
• Educate customers on product and service usage.
• Maintain and stock vehicle and equipment; perform on-call/after-hours as needed.

The expected pay range for this role is $17.50-$25.50/hr.

What you’ll do

• Install, disconnect, and troubleshoot video service, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses


• Identify and try to remedy sources of customer‑perceived issues


• Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement


• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage


• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment


• Work overtime, travel, and perform on‑call/afterhours responsibilities as needed


• Perform work in all weather conditions


• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older


• Authorization to work in the United States for this company


• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience


• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record


• Previous experience in cable installation or a related field preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
