Job summary

AtPrince Telecom, LLC is seeking a Cable Installation Technician to safely install and troubleshoot video services, internet, telephone, and alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses.

Responsibilities include identifying issues, reviewing services with customers, and educating them on usage. Candidates should have 18+ years, a valid US work authorization, and a driver’s license. On-call, overtime, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous cable installation or related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, and troubleshoot video, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses.
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Review services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Educate customers on product and service usage.
• Keep vehicle and equipment clean, maintained, and stocked.
• Work overtime, travel, and be available for on-call/after-hours as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Install, disconnect, and troubleshoot video service, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses
• Identify and try to remedy sources of customer-perceived issues
• Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Previous experience in cable installation or a related field preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
