Job summary

Holt of California is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Elk Grove, CA to repair and service a wide range of rental equipment including large and small construction tractors, forklifts, and power generation units.

You will greet customers in the yard, perform light maintenance, complete PM services, and document work with service reports. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required, with prior equipment experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 2 years equipment experience preferred.
• Ability to read instructions and write service reports.
• Capacity to present information clearly to customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Greets, assists and directs customers in yard area.
• Clean equipment when necessary on rental returns and rental check-outs.
• Performs light maintenance on equipment.
• Performs PM maintenance and other required services as required.
• Requires working knowledge of ignition system, lights, and instrument panels.
• Repairs and adjusts headlights, installs and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors and windshield wipers.
• Back-up for yard personnel as needed.
• Writes service reports.
• Orders parts when necessary.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education And/Or Experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver license class C or higher and a clean D.M.V. report.

Compensation

Wage Range 23.00 to $25.00 Hourly

Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
