Job summary

Aspire Bakeries in Stockton, CA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic B to keep our bakery equipment running safely and reliably. You will assist with repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, steam, and hydraulic systems to maintain production readiness.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, weekend availability, and a willingness to work across multiple shifts, including training periods that may include night hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, welding, refrigeration, pneumatic, steam, and gearbox systems.
• Foundational PLC troubleshooting and programming skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in bakery environments.
• Ability to obtain respirator certification.
• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and repair of bakery equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Identify and resolve equipment issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and utility systems.
• Maintain tools and work areas in sanitary and safe condition with guards in place.
• Contribute to foodsafe production by following maintenance standards.
• Communicate equipment concerns promptly to mechanics, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
• Build foundational knowledge of bakery equipment and bun production processes.
• Support safety requirements including respirator use and PPE.
• Adapt to hot production environments and freezer conditions.
• Follow written and verbal instructions while maintaining safety and quality.

About the Role

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic B to join our team at our Stockton, CA bakery. As a Maintenance Mechanic B, you will support the safe and reliable operation of bakery equipment by assisting with repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, steam, and hydraulic systems to maintain consistent production readiness.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: Senioritybased schedule


• Hours: Varies, will work a mix of 1st, 2nd & 3rd shifts


• Weekend availability: Required


• Training: Must be available to work any shift during training; posttraining must be available for the graveyard shift

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $35.23

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

• Support the maintenance and repair of bakery equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High school diploma or GED


• 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience


• Basic mechanical, electrical, welding, refrigeration, pneumatic, steam, and gearbox knowledge


• Foundational PLC troubleshooting and programming skills


• Ability to work weekends and adapt to senioritybased scheduling


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., perform repetitive motions, and work in bakery production environments


• Ability to obtain respirator certification
