Job summary

Revlon Manufacturing & Distribution is seeking a Technician Automation Control for the 2nd shift at their Oxford, NC facility. Responsibilities include maintenance and support of electrical systems and providing PLC programming and troubleshooting. Technician Automation Control - 2nd Shift

This role is an Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Oxford, North Carolina facility.

Overview
  • Maintenance, installation, and technical support of electrical & electronic systems, including PLC, stepper, & servo-based hardware.
Responsibilities
  • Provides PLC programming and troubleshooting support for facility and manufacturing equipment.
  • Remains current and up-to date with new technology in electrical controls.
  • Assists in training of other technicians and maintenance staff.
  • Maintains required records, including PLC program documentation and electrical drawing mark‑ups.
  • Monitors and operates equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintains a safe working condition in assigned work areas.
  • Has ability to operate shop equipment as required.
  • Plans, initiates, and completes job assignments in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Makes suggestions to management on better, more efficient and less costly methods to complete jobs.
  • Communicates immediately to supervision any personnel problems, job coordination problems, parts or tools shortages, damage observed to equipment or building, accidents or safety hazards, company policy violations or any other information in your judgment that needs attention.
  • Must be able to respond to plant emergencies.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; 2-year Technical Degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, digital multi‑meter, RF‑oscillator, digital frequency counter, inductance‑capacitance and resistance meter).
  • Ability to read and work from electrical drawings, prints, or schematics.
  • Ability to read and work from ladder logic diagrams.
  • Ability to fabricate or modify a circuit with or without a schematic.
  • Ability to fabricate electrical panels and terminal boxes.
  • Ability to operate power shop tools as well as common hand tools.
  • Familiarity with national, state, & local electric codes.
  • Solid background in PLC programming, troubleshooting, & support (GE Fanuc preferred).
  • Thorough understanding of AC/DC motor controls, 3‑phase power distribution, and 120VAC/24VDC control wiring.
  • Heavy carrying and lifting of 50+ pounds.
  • Must be able to maneuver containers weighing up to 500 lbs.
  • Able to push and pull objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Able to stand and/or walk 90% of an 8‑hour day which includes climbing a ladder or steps.
  • Must meet the vision and hearing requirements.
  • Must meet the forklift requirements.

Shift hours: 2:45 pm – 11:15 pm

Revlon is unable to sponsor or transfer employment visas for this role; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa support.

The base pay range for this position is $38.00 per hour with a $1.10 shift differential for 2nd shift; however base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job‑related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short‑term incentives as part of total compensation.

Employees and their families are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Employees are covered by company‑paid basic life insurance and company‑paid short‑term disability insurance (benefit commences upon hire and allows for a portion of base salary for up to 26 weeks if disabled). Other benefits offered to employees include long‑term disability, supplemental life insurances, flexible spending accounts, critical illness insurance, group legal, identity theft protection, etc. Employees are also able to enroll in our 401k Retirement Savings Plan.

Employees will also receive 3 weeks of vacation, pro‑rated based on date of hire for the 1st year of employment and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Vacation will depend on role.
