The Technician Apprentice/Tech Trainee Position offers a pay scale with a base hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $20.00.

Position Purpose

The Technician Apprentice/Tech Trainee will serve as a trainee under the supervision of Master Technicians. The role involves learning proper diagnosis and repair of customer and dealership vehicles, and completing assigned repair orders efficiently and according to manufacturer standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with service advisors and technicians to articulate customer concerns.
• Learn vehicle repair techniques through formal training and hands-on tasks supervised by experienced auto technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth service department operations.
• Perform simple automotive repairs, conduct multi-point inspections, and test batteries.
• Maintain a clean and presentable workshop environment.
• Deliver customer vehicles to service stalls as needed.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and properly.
• Follow safety policies, report accidents immediately, and use personal protective equipment.
• Stay informed about laws related to automobile repairs and consumer protection.
• Arrive on time and be engaged at your workstation.
• Protect customer and dealer information according to policy.
• Follow dress code and safety rules at all times.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
