The Technician Apprentice is an entry-level position designed to develop the next generation of licensed technicians through hands‑on training, structured rotations, and real‑world field experience. Apprentices will participate in Gault’s Apprentice Wheel, rotating through key departments including HVAC Service, HVAC Install, Generator, Propane, Electrical, and Warehouse. Within each rotation, apprentices will work alongside multiple experienced technicians, gaining exposure to different skillsets, job types, and customer interactions. This role focuses on building technical ability, safety awareness, and strong work habits while preparing apprentices for long‑term success in the trades and progression toward licensure.
100% field work. Working inside climbing up and down stairs to basements, attics, crawl spaces and other tight and confined spaces. Working outside in all weather conditions. Climbing and working from ladders. Driving a service vehicle to calls, getting in and out of a truck and getting tool and materials in and out of truck. Working with and exposed to hazardous materials daily.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, twisting, lifting and pulling of parts and equipment. Must have the ability to lift and/or move items up to 85 pounds. The position requires employee to regularly talk and hear.
