Job summary

Aggreko plc in Cincinnati, OH is hiring a Power or HVAC Technician 3 to service, repair, commission and operate Aggreko products. Based at the Cincinnati Service Center, you’ll travel to customer sites and work in shops with daily local travel in your company vehicle.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance on generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution, HVAC equipment and oil-free air compressors, troubleshoot failures and set up equipment for customers, either solo or in teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience on power generators and HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and calculate tonnage/kW requirements.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment at shop and on customer locations; handle repairs.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Power or HVAC Technician 3 in Cincinnati, OH. You'll work as a team or independently in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products.

What you'll do:

• You'll be based out of our Cincinnati, OH Service Center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 6+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Able
• to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat
