Job summary

Loadpath, LLC, a Redwire Space business unit, in Albuquerque, NM, is hiring a Quality Technician II. You will inspect parts, materials, and assemblies, using GD&T to verify conformance and help generate quality documentation for engineering deliverables.

Experience with calibrated equipment and reading engineering drawings is preferred. You will manage the calibrated equipment library and calibration activities, support internal quality audits, nonconformance and corrective action activities,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years related experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting parts, materials, and assemblies.
• Experience with calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauge pins).
• Ability to review engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• US Citizenship or equivalent with ITAR eligibility as required.

Summary

Loadpath, LLC a Redwire Space business unit has a current opportunity for a Quality Technician II located at our facility in Albuquerque, NM. In this role you will be working on a broad range of activities including inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished materials and products, development of quality documentation to support engineering program deliverables, calibration activities management, internal audits of quality processes, nonconformance and corrective action support activities, and general support of the quality management system.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts, materials, and assemblies, utilizing GD&T methods to determine compliance with product specifications, drawings and contractual requirements.
• Inspect received parts and materials and verify supplier compliance with all purchase order requirements, specifications and/or drawing requirements.
• Demonstrate commitment to documentation and traceability by accurately documenting the results of the inspections.
• Maintain part data in the ERP system for traceability (inspection reports, COC, traceability information, test reports).
• Manage the calibrated equipment library and calibration activities.
• Support build activities by: Ensuring quality assurance record retention, support inspections for build activities, performing quality review of work orders, and auditing part labeling.
• Collect data for and create the End Item Data Package for program deliverables.
• Support internal audits of quality processes.
• Support nonconformance and corrective action activities and provide general support of the quality management system.
• Maintain workplace safety to people and products through proper process controls.
• Sustain a culture of continuous improvement.

Ideal Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of related experience preferred
• Experience with assembly and inspections
• Experience with calibrated equipment, examples: calipers, micrometers, gauge pins and mechanical inspection devices
• Experience with reviewing engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics and technical documents
• US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations with a security clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance

Desired Skills

• Good organizational skills and familiarity with product quality documentation
• Knowledge of other areas of Quality Assurance
• Quality certifications such as IPC-J-STD-001 certified inspector, IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified inspector, or the ability to obtain such certifications
• Verbal and written communication proficiency
• Works with an ERP and/or document management system
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
