Job summary

Redwire seeks a Contract Quality Assurance Inspector to join our Marlborough, MA aerospace manufacturing team. This 6–9 month contract will focus on in‑house product inspections, non‑conformance reporting, and ensuring PO and drawing compliance.

You will work closely with QA engineers and other QC inspectors to maintain high quality standards. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in QC/QA within aerospace or military sectors, knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001, and experience with J‑STD‑001 Space Addendum

Qualifications

• Experience reading mechanical drawings and interpreting specifications.
• Proven QC/QA inspector experience in aerospace or military industries.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect in-house products and witness torquing of hardware.
• Document defects in ERP using non-conformance reports.

Summary

We have a current opportunity for a Contract Quality Assurance Inspector located at our aerospace manufacturing facility in Marlborough, MA. This will be a 6–9-month contract position. In this role you will be part of a small quality team with a big impact.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with other QC inspectors and QA engineering to inspect in‑house products, witness torquing of hardware, and perform receiving inspections.
• Document defects in our ERP system utilizing non‑conformance reports.
• Perform receiving inspections ensuring documentation and products meet drawings and purchase order requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Ideal Experience

• 3‑5 years as a QC/QA inspector in military or aerospace industries.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 standards.
• Knowledge of standard aerospace industry requirements.
• J‑STD‑001 Space Addendum knowledge and/or certification.
• NASA 8739.1 and/or NAS 8739.4 knowledge and/or certification.

Desired Skills

• Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
• QC inspector experience in aerospace or military industries.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience inspecting mechanical parts using calipers, micrometers, and durometers.
• Understanding of technical documentation and the requirements needed for aerospace products.
