Job summary

Halozyme, Inc. is seeking a Technician 2, Manufacturing to join the team on the second shift (4:30 PM – 3:00 AM). You will ensure quality compliance, operate manufacturing equipment, and assist in assembly, packaging, and inspection of pharmaceutical products.

The role requires a High School Diploma with 1–3 years in manufacturing, familiarity with SOPs, GDP/cGMP, and strong attention to detail. Halozyme emphasizes safety, teamwork, and ongoing development within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma with 1-3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work in a controlled or clean room environment requiring special gowning.
  • Critical understanding of the importance of documentation and data traceability.
  • Experience utilizing automated and/or laboratory equipment.
  • Familiarity with executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a manufacturing or assembling environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and adherence to all manufacturing process and quality requirements per Halozyme quality processes.
  • Receive and distribute supplies in the manufacturing area.
  • Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to produce clinical and commercial pharmaceutical products under minimal supervision.
  • Perform assembly, final packaging, and inspection of pharmaceutical products.
  • Assemble products following all current SOPs and Work Instructions, meeting manufacturing goals and metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records following GDP and cGMP guidelines including training files and shop floor paperwork.
  • Provide feedback to management on recommendations for procedural and process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Responsible for quality and adheres to all manufacturing process and quality requirements according to Halozyme quality processes
  • Receives and distributes supplies in the manufacturing area
  • Operates and monitors manufacturing equipment to produce clinical and commercial pharmaceutical products under minimal supervision
  • Performs the assembly, final packaging, and inspection of pharmaceutical products
  • Assembles products following all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) and Work Instructions (WIs), while meeting manufacturing goals and metrics
  • Ability to maintain accurate records following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines including training files and shop floor paperwork
  • Provides feedback to management on recommendations for procedural and process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
  • Minimum High School Diploma with 1-3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
  • Must be able to work in a controlled or clean room environment requiring special gowning
  • Critical understanding of the importance of documentation and data traceability
  • Experience utilizing automated and/or laboratory equipment
  • Must have the ability to work safely and responsibly in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of LEAN Manufacturing methodologies
  • Comfortable utilizing computers in the workplace and familiar with Microsoft 356
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities, as necessary
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Familiarity with executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a manufacturing or assembling environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to perform product and/or process investigations preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

The most likely base pay range for this position is $50K - $60K per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual’s exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
