A leading company in aerospace manufacturing seeks a Technician for the 1st shift in Los Angeles. This role involves assembling and testing mechanical and electrical assemblies, requiring proficiency in hand tools and testing equipment. Candidates should have a high school diploma and extensive experience in aerospace manufacturing and assembly processes.
Eaton’s IS AER FMCdivision is currently seeking aTechnician (1st Shift).
The hourly rate for this position isrange is $30.54 - $45.82. Rate is $35.19 per hour. The hours for shift are 5:30 am - 2:00 pm.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Assemble and test mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies of simple to most complex product line that includes but is not limited to commercial parts for customer such as Boeing Defense, Lockheed Martin, Sikorsky, Goodrich, and Cessna. May occasionally work on electrical assemblies and solder. Will be required to work on unusual work where standard or recognizable methods and processes may not be available.
Reports to the Production Supervisor/Manager in Red Oil.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing
• Minimum of 6 year’s experience in assembly and testing of hydraulic and electromechanical control valves and knowledge of hydraulic test equipment.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA facility will be considered for this position.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Eaton will consider for employment, qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the FCIHO.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing
• Electric Static Discharge certification
• Soldering certification
• Associates degree in technical field
Physical Requirements:
• Sitting, standing, walking, squatting
• Pulling frequently, reaching frequently
• Lifting/Carrying: Knees, Waist
• Lifting requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs (group lifts over 35lbs)
