Job summary

Aggreko plc in Cibolo, TX is seeking a Power or HVAC Technician 2 to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products at the Cibolo service center and on customer sites.

You will work solo or in small teams, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support field operations with daily local travel in your company vehicle.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED.
• 2+ years of experience with power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Experience reading schematics.
• May need TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, engines, HVAC equipment and related systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop or on customer sites and complete repairs.
• Work solo or with technicians to set up and operate equipment at client locations.

Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Power or HVAC Technician 2 in Cibolo, TX. You'll work as a team or independently in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products.

Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end.

What you'll do:

• You'll be based out of our Cibolo, TX service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.

• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED

• 2+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.

• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat
