Job Description

Reports To: Supervisor, Manufacturing (Paint)

Position Overview: Responsible for machine setup, changes, and maintenance of equipment parameters. Ensures safety practices are followed to maintain a safe work environment. Coordinates with various departments to ensure timely and cost-effective production.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in supervising and training shift operators and utilities.
• Act as Supervisor in their absence.
• Coordinate workflow within the department.
• Adjust, perform preventive maintenance, and monitor machines to ensure quality.
• Communicate production issues and changes with peers.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure quality and productivity.
• Participate in company programs and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and adjust paint and secondary equipment.
• Complete reports and process verifications.
• Use tools for machine setup and troubleshooting, including mixing paint and operating pad-a-print and hot stamp equipment.
• Chart color and gloss readings from samples or molded parts.
• Maintain and repair paint guns and racks.
• Ensure environmental health and safety compliance.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Document process changes and ensure proper training.
• Serve as utility support for the paint line.
• Complete required training levels within specified timeframes.

Education and Experience

Minimum one year of related work experience and successful completion of relevant training courses, or willingness to enroll in upcoming classes. Must meet company standards outlined in the employee handbook.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to analyze information and make decisions with limited options. Must score at least 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (or a 16 on the Cognitive portion).

Travel Requirements

This position generally does not require travel.
