Job summary

Sammons Industrial is seeking a hands-on forklift and material handling equipment technician to keep customer equipment running safely and reliably on-site.

Diagnose, repair, and maintain electric, LPG, gas, and diesel systems; perform inspections; follow safety protocols; document repairs.

Candidates need mechanical aptitude with 1+ year forklift repair, a HS diploma or GED, valid driver's license and willingness for on-call support; ESOP and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with 1+ year forklift or related equipment repair experience.
• Strong customer service mindset and clear communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED (trade school or Hyster-Yale certifications are a plus).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to participate in on-call support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment including electric, LPG, gas, and diesel systems.
• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and component rebuilds to manufacturer standards.
• Work safely at customer sites by following proper blocking, chocking, and lockout procedures.
• Document repairs, manage parts, and keep your work area clean and safe.
