Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies seeks a skilled mechanical technician to assemble, repair, and test pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves in both shop and field settings. You will diagnose issues, identify parts, and ensure work aligns with ISO standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED/vocational training.
  • Three years mechanic experience; hydraulic experience preferred.
  • ISO/Safety training provided after hire.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
  • Tear down pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves for repair; identify parts.
  • Build new pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves; assist in machine shop as needed.
  • Test completed pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders according to procedures.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly shop; clean, lubricate, adjust parts and equipment.
  • Record parts and materials; request new parts as necessary.
  • Hone/repair barrels; assist with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain test stands and equipment per ISO procedures.
  • Comply with environmental policies; weld as needed.

Job description

Position Summary

Assemble, disassemble, and repair pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves. Diagnose problems and identify parts needed to repair. Test all items, perform work in both shop and field environment.


Essential Functions


  • Repairs pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.

  • Tear down pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves for repair. Identify parts needed to repair.

  • Build new pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves. * Assist in machine shop as needed.

  • Test completed pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders according to written procedures.

  • Clean, lubricate, adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.

  • Record parts and materials needed and request new parts and materials, as necessary.

  • Maintain a neat and orderly shop.

  • Hone/repair barrels.

  • Help with the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls.

  • Maintain test stands and equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.

  • Know, understand, and abide by environmental policies.

  • Weld as needed.

Education:



  • High School Graduate or GED/Vocational School


Experience:



  • Three years mechanic experience, hydraulic experience preferred.
