Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is hiring a general laborer to support sewer maintenance, inspection and rehabilitation tasks. You will operate and maintain pipe bursting equipment and perform physically demanding work outdoors year-round.

We offer a competitive package including per diem, health benefits, a 401K, income protection and PTO. Must be able to travel up to 100% and pass pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in physical labor or outdoor construction preferred.
• Ability to enter and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to travel up to 100% with daily per diem.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and rehabilitation pipeline tasks.
• Make routine decisions and follow supervision directions.
• Work outdoors year-round.
• Operate and maintain pipe bursting equipment.
• Lift, push/pull, carry up to 50 lbs.

Job description

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• General laborer who performs all work tasks required to support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks
• Makes routine decisions and takes direction from supervision.
• Able to work outside year-round.
• Operation and maintenance of all pipe bursting equipment
• Can lift, push/pull, carry 50 lbs.

Skills and Specifications

• Capable of following instructions and on-the-job training.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic or advanced math skills.
• Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.

Education And Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in a physical labor position and/or outdoor construction preferred.
• Ability to enter and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work overtime and out of town, 100% travel, includes daily per diem ($60 / day).
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, D.O.T. physical and driver’s license check for past 36 months without any suspensions or major traffic violations (D.O.T. requirements).
