Job description

Overview

Develops electro-mechanical equipment by fabricating, custom electro-mechanical assemblies, and testing components and parts.

Responsibilities
  • Determines project objectives by studying engineering blueprints and drawings; reviewing specifications and requirements with engineers.
  • Must be able to read and understand industrial standard schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Builds equipment by devising, fabricating, and assembling components and parts, including troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies and printed circuit boards.
  • Board-level soldering, cable fabrication techniques and assembly/wiring of various 19-inch rack systems and custom assemblies.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintains job database by entering and backing up data.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
