Airgas is Hiring for a Repair Technician in Corpus Christi, TX!

Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

Equipment repair and maintenance training is an asset

Assembles electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental.

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the technician repairs, refurbishes, and maintains engine-driven welding equipment and generators while contributing to a safe and supportive working environment.

  • Contributes to a culture of safety by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’s health and safety guidelines.
  • Restores and maintains all Electric and Engine Drives to ensure peak performance.
  • Collaborates to assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental.
  • We look for someone who ensures precision and reliability through testing and calibration so machines are ready to serve our customers.
  • Repaints parts, touches up paint, and applies decals to welders to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Ideally, you will identify and update parts while completing essential preventative maintenance.
  • Coordinates parts ordering as required to ensure the team can complete repairs efficiently.
  • Inspects returned equipment to ensure proper operation and identify any necessary care.
  • Skilled in using a forklift, pallet jack, or other necessary equipment to organize required parts in the shop.
  • Fosters a clean and organized work environment for the benefit of the whole team.
  • Prepares and completes documentation for all machine repairs.
  • Occasionally provides on-site service to support our equipment and customers.
  • Nurtures open communication with all branch personnel.
  • Occasionally fosters understanding with customers regarding the most effective equipment for their projects.
  • Supports field operations as needed to reach our shared business goals.
  • Performs other related duties as a collaborative team member.
Are you a MATCH?

Required High School Diploma required.

A Valid Driver License and good driving record

Preferred Qualifications

0-1 years of related technical experience; we welcome those early in their career or transitioning from similar fields.

A working knowledge of power generating and welding equipment is a plus.

Thoroughness and care in technical tasks, paired with solid organizational skills.

Ability to multi-task and thrive with trusted autonomy while staying connected to team goals.
