Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. in North Canton, OH seeks Diesel Mechanic Technicians to keep a large truck fleet safe and running.

You will perform preventive maintenance on Class 5-8 vehicles and tank trailers, diagnose and repair brake, electrical, and air systems, and complete inspections with a focus on safety and quality. The role offers extensive training, modern equipment, and a strong advancement path.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of diesel, fleet, truck, trailer, or heavy equipment preventive maintenance and repair
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid Driver's License
• Must pass background check, MVR review, drug screen, and physical
• Ability to obtain required industry certifications
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers
• Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems
• Complete truck and trailer inspections
• Perform wheel-end, tire, and preventive maintenance services
• Troubleshoot starting, charging, fuel, and HVAC systems
• Maintain DOT compliance standards and inspection requirements
• Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately
• Work safely in a team-oriented shop environment

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance on Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers
• Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems
• Complete truck and trailer inspections
• Perform wheel-end, tire, and preventive maintenance services
• Troubleshoot starting, charging, fuel, and HVAC systems
• Maintain DOT compliance standards and inspection requirements
• Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately
• Work safely in a team-oriented shop environment

    • Wednesday through Saturday from 12 noon to 10:30pm
    • Sunday to Wednesday 7am to 5:30pm

Requirements

• 1-5 years of diesel, fleet, truck, trailer, or heavy equipment preventive maintenance and repair of Class 5 - 8 commercial vehicles and tank trailer inspection
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid Driver's License
• Must successfully pass a background check, MVR review, drug screen, and physical examination as a condition of employment due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
• Ability to obtain required industry certifications
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
