Job summary

Sonoma Water is seeking a Technical Writing Specialist to compose, edit, and finalize agreements and detailed construction project specifications, and assist in administering the public bid process, RFPs, and SOQs in line with regulations and policies.

Ideal candidates will have strong English writing and analytical skills, experience editing technical documents, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce clear, compliant documents and contracts for public works.

Qualifications

• Experience in editing technical reports, agreements, and grant proposals.
• Academic coursework in engineering, technical writing, contract law, or related fields.
• Two years of experience managing construction projects, grants, or public works with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Compose, edit, and finalize agreements and detailed construction project specifications.
• Assist in administering the public project bid process, RFPs, and statements of qualifications.
• Review and edit various types of technical reports and documents.
