Job summary

Sigma Defense is seeking a full-time Technical Writer who can create quality technical documentation from a blank page. The ideal candidate is a prior military technician with extensive experience developing Technical Manuals for government and civilian industries.

Responsibilities include collaborating with subject-matter experts to produce user manuals, test plans, and process documentation; ensuring a consistent voice across documents while managing multiple projects and security clearance

Qualifications

Ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences.
Excellent written communication and keen eye for detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

Develop user manuals, test plans, and foundational documents with subject-matter experts.
Research, outline, write, and edit content with various departments.
Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
Identify documentation repositories, revise/edit, and determine best data storage solutions.
Develop content in alternative media forms with a consistent voice across all documents.
