Job summary

AnaVation is seeking a Technical Writer to support mission-critical customer work in Reston, VA. You will coordinate and author technical documents across proposal, development, and field deployment, ensuring quality control and timely delivery.

You will produce installation, configuration, and end-user guides while collaborating with engineers and program teams. Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio is expected to create clear, publish-ready materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
• IAT Level II certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+) by onboarding date.
• 4 years of experience in technical writing or related field.
• Experience with document control and versioning processes.
• Ability to write and edit technical documents for diverse audiences.
• Strong editing, grammar, and formatting skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and author technical writing and editing across all phases of documentation control and deployment.
• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents for hardware and software projects.
• Compose and edit installation, configuration, code, and end-user guides.
• Provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation; format publications from various sources.
• Manage documentation deliveries and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Utilize MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio to create and present materials.
