Job summary

The Swift Group is seeking a Technical Writer to join a team responsible for creating and maintaining technical publications covering software, systems engineering, and operational procedures. The role involves preparing installation, configuration, and end-user guides, as well as code and training materials.

Candidates should have 6+ years of TW experience in similar programs, a technical degree, and US citizenship with TS/SCI clearance. On-site work in Annapolis-Junction, MD is expected.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of experience as a Technical Writer in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required; four additional TW years may substitute for the degree.
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with FSP clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents for hardware and software.
• Create code documentation, installation, configuration, and how-to guides.
• Coordinate layout and design of documents and maintain an internal documentation library.
• Work with developers to produce high-quality documentation and training materials.
• Produce defense documentation including user manuals and training materials for DoD systems.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical information to write clear publications.
